  • Battery Gauge Install

    Hello,
I'm new to this forum and would like help installing a digital battery meter in my new to me 2010 EZ-GO 36V cart. My questions are do I have to drill out the pop rivits that hold in the ignition panel to gain excess to it, what drill size drill to use if that is necessary, what gauge wire to use, and can I route the wires with out removing the entire dash?
    Thanks,
    David "Lee" McGrath

I have no Idea of what gauge your using, look up the specs and find wire size per needs of gauge, most likely mA so anything from 18 to 22 gauge

I use a 1/4 inch bit. Remember you are just cutting off the head of the rivet. What type of guage is it? Is it a two or three wire? I wired my two wire digital through the igniton switch. The guage is on all the time, (three wire can be switch activated so it is not on all the time), but that means I get a battery status reminder every time I walk by the cart.
Oh, yes you will need to remove the dash plate if that's where you are going to install it.
