EZ GO Hesitation when accelerating

2004 EZ Go golf cart, when battery fully charged I get a hesitation when trying to run full speed when hitting accelerator. Any suggestions.

Need a little more info.

2004 what kind of EZGO, series are PDS?

If it's a PDS and has no chip installed into the controller it will coast when you hit max speed until that pre detirmined speed is back under the setting.
Do you have the stock controller installed? Bigger tires?
Give a good explanation of what it's doing.

I had the same problem with my 2007 Yamaha..... Found that brushes on one side were worn thin.... the problem was housing for brushes that were worn was faulty which caused 2 of the brushes wear unevenly causing cart to hesitate then lurch forward.
