Battery Cable Supplies and question

I am wondering if this cable is ok to use for golf cart battery wiring. The price doesn't seem to bad, if it is acceptable.

I would appreciate any input. i want to buy parts to make my own battery cables. Awhile back Doug gave me a tip on a place called Spectro Wire, but there website is jacked up. I emailed them telling them i wanted to place an order, and never got a response. So I am looking elsewhere.

i live in the desert, and haven't found a welding supply close to me.

i want to buy 4 gauge battery cable, and also the copper lugs that you can smash onto the wire.

I think Doug had said they were 5 / 16" terminals .

Looks OK for the voltage but you need to know if it will handle the amperage of the cart and the add doesn't say.

What is a typical amp range for 36 volt and 48 volt stock carts?

I'm not sure of the strand count on the ebay cable and it seems too cheap to be a high strand count. Normally this stuff is $1.20 to $1.50 a ft.

Connections from the cable to the lug are not smashed on (but I like the way you you described it )
They are put on with a proper swedge tool or soldered (this is a pretty important connection).
You could also get cables from a local forklift repair company.

You can buy cables with ends on them through ebay in any length you like.

Yup, I found these almost as cheap as I could make them and easier than building them yourself.
