  • Dead EZ GO

Hello guys, Have a problem with a 2003 EZ GO 36-volt. The charger has been turning off after a few hours an then back on. Plugged the charger in this AM and nothing. Cart is dead and won't charge. Lights are dim. Charger or car. HELP?

Battery problem possibly, can't tell yet.
    Did this just start happening?
Can you get a voltage reading of the individual batteries and post up the numbers. They should be between 5.8v (near dead) and 6.4v (full charge).

All battery readings are below 2 volts except one that reads 5.2

Your batteries are shot, time for new ones.
            Check out this link: http://www.golfcartsforum.com/golf-c...rge-chart.html
Cheapest good batteries I know of are at Sam's Club for about $75 each.

Thanks. The ones in now are Trojan T-105 and are about 5 1/2 years old. Should I buy the same kind??

Not necessarily but you do need to stay with true deep cycle golf cart batteries.
Sam's Club has GC-2 golf cart batteries for about $75 each that should give you years of good service and are rated nearly the same as the T-105 Trojans.
