Headlight/Taillight Kits

I have purchased a Freedom Light Bar Kit for my 2001 EZGO PDS. I really only need the headlight, and decided to purchase this kit because I did not want to cut into the body of the cart. My question is this; do I need to hook up the taillights that come with the kit as well? The only way to install the taillights is to cut holes in the body, and again, not something I would want to do. If I definately need to hook up the taillights as well, then I will. But if I can just mount the headlight bar in the front and hook up the switch and harness than that would be great. If I can do this, should I just tape off the plugs which would normally run to the taillights?

You can install the headlight bar only.
