Hi guys just wondering i have 16mm2 cable will that work in re-wiring my 96 TXT 36v golf cart or is it too small?

I believe 16mm2 cable is equivalent to 6ga and IMO it is too small or marginal if you are replacing cables.
4ga cable is the preferred size for replacement, 6ga was the stock size that came with the cart and although it will work it is the bare minimum.
Are you planning on DIY cables and connectors or will you be buying a set that is already made? -
DIY Cables and connectors. Only problems is someone has replaced them b4 me and they used 16mm2 cable. I might just use 35mm2 will that be an over kill?Comment

Something like 25mm2 is what I would recommend.
35mm2 cable is large but workable and is what to use for huge power demand or radical changes for a cart that has a minimum 500 amp controller.Comment
