I'm still trying to figure this 98 club car out. I went to Candy Hill camp site and talked the manager to look at one of his gas club cars and he didn't seem to happy to help me. All I wanted to do was look at the engine on one to see if I was missing anything on mine. He let me look at a 95 but wasn't to happy because I wasn't buying one. They didn't give me much time to look at it. I have some brackets on top of the trans. and I'm not sure what was bolted to them. Does anyone have a picture or can tell me what those brackets are for. Also when I put the lever in reverse the electric motor does not go in the opposite direction.

Engine only spins in 1 direction, the transmission handles weather it goes forward or backward. My advice is to find a good club car dealer around you, they should be more than happy to let you look.
