weird oil light incident

hey all, the other day i was driving my gas 1999 club car and i started going down a fairly steep hill (with the pedal to the floor, the governor and rev limiter are still intact). as i approached the bottom of the hill, the cart started going slightly faster than usual, even down hills. as this occurred the oil light came on and stayed on until i reached the bottom of the hill and slowed down. i immediately pulled over and checked the oil to find it to be at the proper level. what could of caused this? should i be concerned? any thoughts? thanks

Hi lanching, never go full throttle down a hill. It makes the engine run faster than it is designed to and can make it seize up or throw a rod... which is a big price to pay for the 2 MPH's you gain doing it.
