Thanks in advance, new to forum today. Working on a neighbor's 1991 Club Car DS Gasoline. Symptoms: Starts and idles fine. When applying gas the engine initially accelerates than slows, (bogs down) misfires, backfires, etc. When reducing gas it recovers and idles fine. Have been eliminating the obvious:
Removed old gas. Replace fuel filter. Tore down carburetor (nothing located and it was clean, did clean and reassemble, mixture set at 1.5 turns). Removed and cleaned the plug (which looked great). Removed the muffler (thinking an obstruction of some kind). Still the same issue persists. Now thinking the issue may be in the coil/rev-limiter. Unfortunately, I do not have any way to test it other than replace both and hope for the best.
Anything I am missing, or any suggestions? Again, thanks!
