  • 2018 Precedent throttle switch question

Hi, My name is Billy Potter, I'm new here. I have a 2018 Club Car Precedent that is not getting a signal to, or, from the throttle pedal sensor. I have I.D.E. Syndrome now, (I've Done Everything) to try to figure this thing out. Does anyone know the sequence of events for this switch, or how it works? How to bypass, or hot wire this switch? I don't want to buy a new pedal group, and then find out it was just a wire or something else

Billy, for the 18 precedent they offered MCOR or throttle sensor

Thanks, I've already done those test, I can't get any response from the pedal. My question was, How to bypass that switch? I should be able to use a toggle switch, or a momentary switch, or both, to duplicate the signal from the original switch. Knowing the sequence of events, or, what wires connect or disconnect as you push the throttle, would be the needed info.

The orange wire controls the starter motor, so you'll want to pull out the plug from the TPS, key on, run a jumper wire from the black wire (GND) to the orange pin (SW 2 N.O.). This essentially “closes” the circuit that normally would only connect when you press the pedal. If the motor spins, it confirms that the switch may indeed be the issue. With the jumper wire in place, the engine will spin, but it may not run because the ignition kill circuit (white/black wire) will still prevent the spark needed for it to start. In any event, always raise the rear wheels first for safety.

Thank you so much. That is what I needed to know. I have it on jack stands.
