Here's a brief guide on how to repair a seized rear brake caliper on a 2007 club car 1550 xrt:- Get WD40 with a red straw: Acquire a can of WD40 with the red straw attachment. This will help you precisely apply lubricant to the affected area.
- Remove the caliper without disconnecting the brake lines: Carefully remove the caliper from its mounting bracket, ensuring not to disconnect the brake lines attached to it.
- Insert the red straw under the rubber boot: Attach the red straw to the WD40 can and slip it under the rubber boot covering the piston of the caliper.
- Spray WD40 liberally: Apply WD40 liberally into the caliper piston area. Make sure to coat it thoroughly and allow the WD40 to penetrate overnight.
- Attempt to compress the caliper: The next day, use a large C clamp to compress the caliper piston. Apply gradual pressure and see if the caliper begins to move.
- Pump the brakes and compress the caliper: If the caliper starts to free up, pump the brakes a few times without fully extending the caliper. Then, compress the caliper again using the C clamp. Repeat this process several times until the caliper moves freely.
- Reinstall the caliper: Once the caliper moves freely and operates smoothly, reinstall it onto the mounting bracket, ensuring proper alignment and torque specifications.
By following these steps, you can effectively repair a seized caliper and restore proper functionality to your braking system. Remember to exercise caution and patience throughout the process to ensure safe and effective repairs.

Thank you for the update. Exploring options with ATV and powersports dealers could prove beneficial as they may have access to an alternate network of rebuilders who specialize in refurbishing small calipers and other components. This alternative infrastructure may offer more cost effective solutions compared to traditional golf cart dealerships or buying new/aftermarket. Even if the calipers appear irreparable, it's advisable to retain them. You can list them for sale on eBay, indicating that they are intended for rebuild purposes only.
