Cart quits running after 15 minutes. It will restart after it cools, but does the same thing again. Ignition coil breaking down? What resistance should the coil have?

I would start by locating the RPM limiter and bypassing it just to rule that out first, look for a black box with a brown wire coming out of it down by the engine block. Disconnect the brown ground wire that goes to the engine block and tape it so that its out of the way. Run the cart as normal, If the problem no longer exists, replace the RPM limiter.
To test the RPM limiter, disconnect it completely, using a multimeter set on OHMs place the red probe on the brown ground wire and the black probe on the black wire male bullet connector and look for a reading between 4.5 to 7 OHMs, if the reading is incorrect, the RPM limiter is bad.
