Ok I have a 2006 I believe, club car precedent gas. We put a lift and wheels and tires on it. Well we wanted to out a sound system on it. The speakers we installed sounded awful so I decided to throw a subwoofer in the back storage box. I got everything wired up so it works properly there is just one little problem. When sitting still, If the bass hits hard at all, its cuts off then it'll come back on but as soon as it hits hard again it goes off. Now if its running it doesn't cut off at all. What do y'all think I could do to fix this? I put a capicitor on it and it didn't help so I think my next thing is installing a larger battery since there is no where to put a second battery. Any thoughts are accepted thanks

It sounds like your subwoofer is experiencing a power issue under certain circumstances. This likely happens because the subwoofer draws a significant amount of current causing a voltage drop that temporarily shuts it off. When the cart is running, the starter/generator provides additional power, preventing this voltage drop.
Adding a capacitor which you've already tried, is typically meant to help manage brief power surges, but in this case, it seems the power demand of the subwoofer exceeds what your current battery can supply while stationary. The next logical step would indeed be to install a larger battery with a higher capacity for a more stable power supply for your sound system. You can either upgrade the original battery to a higher capacity model or add a dedicated deep cycle "accessory" battery that you charge separately for better soundsystem performance. If space is an issue for adding a second battery, replacing the existing one with a higher capacity battery should help with mitigating the power drops and keep your subwoofer running even when the cart isnt in motion.
