We just purchased a 2003 and would like a little more power. Is it possible to adjust the governor without removing it? Is the governor preset at the factory?

yes it is set, should be on top of trans case behind starter, its not recommended to play with them as you can damage engine in a short amount of time................your better off adjusting the cable coming out of the black box, also on the gov the adjustment so so mi-nute that it may take hours to get it right and can be a hair pulling out event however if you do i suggest you get a tiny tach and install it this way you don,t over rev it and smoke the engine.....................................
