belt squeal

I have a 2002 Club DS. Drive belt was squeeling sometimes so I changed it out. The problem is it still squeels and I have to keep pushing accelerator until it finally takes off....any suggestions...thanks...jimmy

Hmmm, sounds like bad clutch springs or just a worn out clutch all together.

Your drive belt is not squealing. The belt on the starter/generator is loose. there should be a 1/2 bolt on the adjuster. loosen this and the two 9/16 bolts on top. Use a pry bar to GENTLY push the starter up to tighten the belt. Tighten the 1/2 bolt on the bottom, then the two 9/16 bolts.
