Checking and setting the auto adjusting rear brakes on your Club Car is relatively straightforward. Typically, you'd start by repeatedly stepping on the brake pedal about 7-12 times until it ratchets into place. In your case, you'll want to inspect each rear brake individually. To do this, you'll need to remove the wheels and drums to access the adjuster. You'll find the adjustor on the lower side, similar to the adjustors on cars. Once you locate it, you can make any necessary adjustments to ensure your brakes are functioning properly.
If you're finding your brakes are working more than expected here's a handy fix: Begin by removing the drums, then gently sand the brake shoes with coarse (100 grit) Emory cloth or sandpaper to eliminate any glaze buildup. Next, lightly sand the drums with a finer (3-400 grit) Emory cloth or sandpaper for the same purpose. After thoroughly cleaning all items with brake cleaner, carefully reassemble and test your brakes. As an additional precaution, double check the tightness of the axle U bolts, as loose bolts could also be a culprit. With these steps, you'll hopefully regain smooth and reliable braking performance without any unexpected surprises! If you run into any difficulties or need further guidance feel free to reach out
