Cart Slow, and Jerking on Start

Recently the cart has been driving at a consistent 9mph (usually 16mph). I replaced the MCCOR, the speed sensor and magnet, the forward/reverse switch, and put a multimeter on the batteries. The reading on that was 53V. I checked and the brakes are not engaged. I am wondering what the next steps would be. In the past few days it has now been jerking start/stop/start/stop when i hit the accelerator (which led me to replace the switch, to no avail). Any ideas?
