  • Club car series not running.

I'm new here. I have a 2004 club car series that stopped running.

It acted like the motor had lost its bushings. It would run a little then stop. I got a new motor, installed and same reaction, but not running at all. Just a small click when for feed is depressed.

I have replace controller, solenoid and F/R switch.

Iguess my question is, is there a switch on the foot feed that might be out.

There is a microswitch within the MCOR which is attached to the accelerator pedal, if you are hearing a faint click, its possible that the MCOR microswitch is "clicking" but the switch itself is not activating. To troubleshoot, you can bypass this switch temporarily. Start by raising the rear wheels for safety, then bypass the MCOR microswitch by running a jumper wire from the blue wire on the key switch to the green/white wire on the FNR microswitch. If it runs, replace the MCOR. Here is the diagram for reference.

I also have a 2004 Club Car Precedent that suddenly would not operate. I turned on the key, depressed the switch into "reverse", but no sound. I checked the batteries and I have 53 volts, so the batteries are good. Any suggestions on what I should look for first? I had replaced the foot pedal a few years back, and got new batteries one year ago. So, I am thinking that a switch may be bad? I am a novice at electrical troubleshooting since I spent my 47 year career as a mechanical engineer. Thanks!
