  • 2019 Tempo speaker/tray removal.

Trying to remove my speaker and tray in my 2019 Tempo. Anyone have the instructions/pictures/diagrams for the help? I know to remove the one long screw then pry on “something”. Thank you

That's a great question as it can be tricky. Slide the assembly to release the tabs after taking out the long screw. Instead of using a screwdriver, use a putty knife to pry it loose if needed. The putty knife's wider surface spreads out the pressure reducing the chance of cracking the trim.

Thank you, I guess I'm not sure where to put the putty knife in to release the tab.

Sounds like my kind of trouble! I was pullin apart the dash on an old EZGO, thought it was a walk in the park but ended up in a tangle of frustration, pullin' and yankin' like a fisherman fightin' a mighty marlin. These tabs can be as elusive as a ghost in the night! Be gentle!

Look for the tab when peeking through the screw hole and press it with a long, thin flat head while someone else pulls gently. Let the cart sit in the sun for a bit to make the plastic a little more flexible and hopefully removal easier

Finally figured out the trick and it came right out. Thank you.
