  • 2003 EZGO TXT Accelerator Not Releasing the Parking Brake

    Hi,

I have a 2003 EZGO TXT. When the Parking brake is engaged, pressing the Accelerator does not disengage the Parking Brake.

I searched this forum and the EZGO manual, and pointed me to the Kick Off Cam.
I can see that the Cam is not pushing "hard" enough to release the latch.

Based on the manual there is supposed to be 0mm gap when the brake is engaged, I have probably 8mm space between the Cam and Latch. Explains why it's not releasing.

I'm not sure how to make the adjustments for that? Any help would be great.

    Thanks!

Usually, there are adjustment nuts or bolts around the assembly that can tweak the tension or positioning of the Cam.

Locate those adjustment points near the Kick Off Cam. You might find nuts or bolts you can tweak to bring that Cam closer to the latch, reducing that pesky gap.
