Charger auto turn off

The auto turn off function of the battery charger does not work. It goes to 5 amps and keeps running. The cart is a 2004 club car. The system is 48volts

The charger will go down to around 5 amps when almost finished charging. Are all your batteries, connections and posts clean? Are your batteries under 3 years old? Are any one of the batteries dead? If not then your problem is in the charger, possibly a bad on off sensor or possibly a bad OBC.
