  • 8 volt battery load tester

I have a 2012 Precedent Club Car golf cart. It is a 48 volt with six 8 volt Trojan batteries. Does anyone know where I can find an 8 volt battery load tester? I have been searching for weeks, but am unable to find a place that sells them. Thank you. Jim Patrick

Ensure your batteries are fully charged. Then, use a voltmeter to measure the voltage across each 8-volt battery individually. A healthy, fully charged 8-volt battery should read around 8.3 to 8.4 volts.

Next, under a load, like turning on your cart's headlights for a few minutes or placing the rear wheels on jack stands and pressing the gas pedal, recheck the voltage across each battery. A significant drop in voltage during this test could indicate a weaker cell or battery that may need further inspection or replacement.
