Headlights blow out

Purchased 2000 Club car, put new chaisis, complete with headlights and tail lights. Lighting package blows out when I drive the vehicle (smooth road) with the lights on after about 5-6 miles. Have six 12 volt batteries. Do I need a voltage regulator? What might be cause of problem.

Wire your lights to any 2 of the 6 batteries (if they are 12 volt lights), or get a voltage regulator. The batteries are acually 6 volts each so you have a 36 volt cart
