  • Turn Signals Won't Flash

RE: Club Car A9526. serial number 442100.
After-market turn signal system using LEDs. Worked until the old flasher quit. Installed a new flasher and they light but don't flash.
I momentarily connected an 1156 bulb at the flasher and everything works. Suspect the new flasher needs more load that what the LEDs provide.
Also, the 4-ways light but don't flash either.

    Thoughts?

It seems that the issue is indeed related to the flasher not being compatible with the low current draw of LEDs. Traditional flashers are designed to work with incandescent bulbs which draw more current, causing the flasher to cycle properly and produce the flashing effect. LEDs, however, draw significantly less current, which can cause the flasher to malfunction and prevent the lights from flashing. Since you mentioned that the turn signals and hazard lights only light up but do not flash, it confirms that the flasher is not functioning correctly due to the mismatch in current load. I've personally had good success with flasher relays that come with an adjustable knob, which allows you to set the flash rate. These adjustable relays are designed to work with various setups and can resolve issues with both LED turn signals and hazard lights not flashing correctly.
