  • noisy bearing

It appears I have a bad rear bearing, I tried to take the hub off but the hole doesn't line up with the bolt heads.

Is there a generic bearing available?

The generic part number you’re looking for is 6205-RS. Any 6205 bearing will fit, but the letters in the part number denote specific features. For instance, "RS" stands for rubber seal, indicating the bearing is sealed on one side to keep out contaminants. You might also see "2RS," which means it’s sealed on both sides. Other common configurations include "ZZ" or "2Z," where the bearing is shielded with metal on one or both sides, respectively, offering less friction but slightly less protection against dirt and moisture compared to rubber seals. The absence of letters generally indicates an open bearing, which has no seals or shields and requires regular lubrication.
