check for a bad coil

hello I have a no spark problem with my 1996 club car ever thing I check seems ok but its a ground problem or a coil. the coil is new , an I know a new coil could be bad, my question is how do I check a coil with a meter? thank you clydeglide

the service manual is here http://www.golfcartsforum.com/golf-c...ce-manual.html and has a lot of info, does not give a ohm value for the coil but has a flow chart that will help. You can disconnect the white/black wire from kill limit switch, it has a connector located near the oil fill tube.
