68' Club Car, reverse jerks-no low speed

Hello,

Just picked up a restored 68' Club Car, very nice restoration. I notice that when I engage reverse, it seems to jump into high speed and is very touchy? I would think there would be a lower speed and if so, what would keep it from working? All parts appear to be new.

The speed controller should engage one solenoid at at time in either direction. May have to check each solenoid for proper function and wiring. THis is all I could find as far as wiring diagrams go. http://www.vintagegolfcartparts.com/...=100020&Page=1

Thanks Larry, changed the solenoids on Friday and that corrected the issue.
