According to the club car serial number decoder, it looks like you do have an 03 DS model. To determine if your cart is equipped with a run/tow switch, you can investigate using the attached photo guide. This switch is used to disable the controller for safe maintenance or towing. If you’re unsure about locating it, the guide should provide clear visual aids to help you identify whether your cart has this feature.

Some additional backstory about your issue would greatly assist in pinpointing where to begin troubleshooting. For example, knowing if there were any recent repairs or changes made to the cart, the symptoms you observed before it stopped working and any other relevant details can provide valuable context. However, a good starting point for diagnosing the problem is performing an individual battery load test using this guide, as battery issues are common in electric golf carts.

Begin by fully charging your batteries. Once charged, let it rest for a few hours, then take photos for reference and disconnect the cables starting with the main pack negative and test each battery individually. Use the multimeter to check the voltage of each battery; it should be around 6-8 volts for a 6-volt battery and 12-14 volts for a 12-volt battery. Next, use the load tester by applying a load equivalent to half the battery's rated capacity for 15 seconds. Observe the voltage during this load; if it drops significantly or the battery cannot maintain the load, it indicates a failing battery. Let us know the results.

Even if your batteries show a full charge, they might fail under load, which can cause your cart not to move. If your batteries are weak or failing, jumping the solenoid won't work because the solenoid requires adequate voltage to engage properly and power the motor. Once you’ve performed the battery load test, please get back with the results and any additional information. We’re here to help you get your cart back up and running smoothly!
