Good morning. I am a new member to the forum. At the end of last summer I bought my first golf cart to use at my camp ground. I have a 2001 Club Car DS. I was having a problem with it and was looking for answers and that is how I found your forum. Most informative. My cart wouldn't move when the peddal was pushed. I could hear the micro switch click but no click at the solenoid. After reading one of the posts on this forum I jumpered the top 2 large posts on the solenoid and pressed the peddal and the cart moved forward perfectly. I assume this is telling me that I have to replace the solenoid? What about the diode and precharge resistor? Thanks guys. Great site!!

marty clip your volt meter on the two small solenoid terminals, meter set for over 50 volts. Press your pedal if you read voltage at the solenoid, then its bad if no voltage at the solenoid then it's in the actuation circuit.Updated by gaminde; March 10, 2013, 01:11 PM. -
Thanks gaminde. It was a bad solenoid. Put a new one in today and the cart runs great.Comment
