82 club car new batts. won't run

I have an 83 club car that i put new batteries in and it still will not run, I am not hearing any clicking from the solenoids when i push on the gas pedal. Any ideas what to check? The only clicking i hear is when i push down very slowly on the pedal, i hear 5 faint clicks.

I found the problem, it was a broken wire.

If there is a bad connection or broken wire in the series circuit, it creates resistance, hindering the flow of current through the circuit. As for the faint clicks, the solenoids operate at system voltage, which in this case is 36 volts. If there is a bad connection or broken wire within the battery circuit, the voltage delivered to the solenoid drops below the threshold required for proper operation.
