1980 Club Car...wiring

My dad has a 1980 Club Car. The wiring was rigged. I got the wiring diagram...but have some questions about the key switch. This cart has a Forward and a Reverse microswitch on the forward/reverse switch. Should the keyswitch be wired to both microswitches for forward and reverse as well to the (-) charger post? Any help would be much appreciated!!! I am learning this electrical stuff ... I know more about cars...

The cart is similar to this diagram...but has 2 f/r microswitches...1 for forward and 1 for reverse.

Are the two micros fed through a common feed? If so just wire in your key switch before the micros. If it has two separate feeds for forward and reverse you could get a double throw single pole key switch and wire that in before or after the micros.
