I have a 08 Precedent with new trojan batteries ( 1275's) 4 12V set up

I just got the cart from the dealer I purchased it from,, I had the new batteries put in, he charged them t before delivery. I used the cart for 2 hours and put it on charge today, it charged for 3 hours and then shut off, about an hour later the charger kicked back on, the meter is at 5 but it will not get any lower or shut off.

Is this because they are new batteries or is something wrong with the charger ?

How long can the charger sit a 5 before shutting off

Do not know what to do

let it run no more than 16 hours and report back tomorrow

I will get up at 4 am and check it, if it is still running I will unplug it.

What could it be if it is still running

I do not have any means of checking batteries yet

Actually it shut off for an hour at around 7 this evening, should I start counting 16 hours from 7 or from when I initially hooked it up at 1 pm ?

also do I need to be in tow mode to charge

Im in drive mode ...

The charger shut off after about 16 hrs.

Seems to be working fine, was not sure of it was normal to sit at 5 amp for that many hours..

Here's my take you have data stored in the OBC which controls the charging, The data was from the old batteries And now you have new batteries so let it run and charge at least 2 * while keeping a good eye on it.
