  • After skidding cart will not move

Everyone, I am new to the forum and just bought a used Club Car electric 90 about 9 months ago It's been in the shop numerous times for battery issues and electrical problems. To make a story really short... Just got it back new batteries and it worked perfect. Neighbor get in it and runs it full speed and skids the tires on the wet road. Now it will not move in forward and reverse. I looked at the brake pedal and it's all the way up. When hit the gas pedal you can hear the click noise and everything appears to be normal, but nothing. The batteries are fully charged, lights work, clicking noise when stepping on the pedal and cart moves as if the brake is OFF.

Sounds like the brakes are locked up. Check the brake cables under the cart at the rear wheels, the cables attach to a small arm coming out of the inside of the wheel backing plate just under the axle. Pull back on the arm or cable at the rear wheel, this should release the brakes. The arm should move back and forth an 1/2" or so. Check out the cables they should move freely, old cables can cause all sorts of problems with the brakes. You may need to replace both cables and or brake shoes and springs

Does anyone know if there is a sensor that prevents the golf cart from moving?
