Speed Sensor 2006 Precedent

Thanks to off line help from Gaminde it appears I have a defective speed sensor. It runs the same speed connected or disconnected. Placing in fwd with key on there is no resistance when pushing the cart.

I checked around for price and found out this piece of plastic with the pigtail connector is $200 !!!!! I saw a thread regarding replacing the sensor internal component with a Allegro A1203LUA-T from DigiKey but not enough info to prusue..... Anyone have any ideas
