Rewiring a 2006 club car from flood

I have almost completed this repair but have stumbled upon something that does not show on any wiring diagrams. On the 16 pin plug, the #9 gray wire has a diode halfway from the weld junction, where it connects up to white wire on OBC. I would presume that the band would be on the end going to the controller, but am not sure. Can anyone advise? Never had this problem and Club Car has this wiring harness back ordered and no indication of when they would have one.
