Can I leave it dissconneted with out hurting any thing the wire is broken in the plug at the speed controller having a problem finding the crimp on contact end

It would be nice to know what year? thoes molex connectors are a bitch, I just bought 100 dollar tool to crimp them correctly. Are you talking about a pin on the controller plug or a pin on the speed sensor plug. If Controller which pin #.

96 48v cc ds yes controler pin that plugs in with the wiring harness

Is the cart running without this pin plugged in, do you know where this wire goes.
