  • Check wire clamps

I have an old 85 Club Car factory updated to an 88 V-glide, If you have one, check the nylon wire clamp holding the negtive battery lead going to the motor. It is on the driver's side frame just over the field resistor coils. Mine broke, dropping the negative lead between two turns of the resistor coils. Everything was OK until the heat melted through the insulation on the neg lead, then I had about a foot of nichrome wire between +36 and ground - wiped out the pedal assy, the F/R switch, and burned through the coil.. Replace this clamp as in insurance policy.
