With the help of a few of the forum members, I have determined that my speed sensor is bad. I have a few questions regarding the repair of the speed sensor.
1. Does it matter the type of solder you use to connect the hall effect sensor to the three wires?
2. Does it matter which side of the hall effect sensor faces the inside of the hat? (i.e. which wire connects to which leg)
3. Does it matter what kind of epoxy you use to fill in the hole?
4. What do you recommend to keep the wires separated when putting in the hole and epoxying? Seems like there is a good chance they would touch.
I should also add that I purchased the Allegro A1203LUA-T via Digikey.
Thanks in advance!
