  • 12 volt Batteries question

I just bought an 2001 Club car ds 36 volt. It has 3 12 volt batteries. I was wondering is there a specific type or can I use these local auto part store batteries here is what im looking at Duralast-12-Volts-950-CA-threaded-post-heavy-duty-industrial-battery part# 31-950

Your cart originally came with 6x6v deep cycle batteries, anything less than that will seriously affect your run time.
I would suggest you look at Sam's Club for batteries, they have GC-2 golf cart batteries for about $72 each.
Your battery layout should look like this:

Couldn't have said it better then Doug said it. Get some new sams club energizers in there asap. Maintain them and keep them clean and always charged and you will be satisfied with their overall performance and lifespan.

12-14 MPH. Someone may be able to give you the exact manufacturers specs.

I do not know if Battery Source sells 12v but if they do and they are not any better than their 6v - i would not have them - had 3 replaced under prorated warranty in less than 8 months - will never buy from them again
