  • Solar Charging

Does anyone here have experience with adding solar panels to their electric cart to charge the batteries? Thanks, Dave

I have seen a few solar carts in Mexico.
I think they would supplement a charge but the cost is usually in the $1000+ range.
    Here's a site to look at: http://www.spheralsolar.com/solargolfcartkits.html

I have been looking at this also. I think there are some pannels out that put out 60 volts this could hook right up to the pack. There only about 1 to 2 amps but could help

It could definitely help, but considering a cart at cruising speed uses about 70a-80amps it would be a death spiral without adding a household charge as well. The rule of thumb used to be with a solar panel roof that it adds about 1-2 miles of cruising for every 6 hours in the sun.
