cart won,t go forward rev. is ok I found a bad cable between batts. and replaced that charging cart now club car 36v

What year is your cart?
Is it a series motor or sepex motor cart?
What voltage is it?

I think it,s a 97 ser# A9717-569270 no idea what type of motor 36v . After I charged it in forward just makes a ticking sound rev is good. thank you for your time

You have a series motor in your cart.
Series motors just reverse polarity to change direction and if it goes forward it will go backward as well. I'm guessing you have a problem with either your F-N-R switch or one of the cables leading to it.
You should be able to pinpoint this with a meter.
