  • 2005 Club Car Precedent won't go

Sometimes when I press the accelerater, the cart will not go. Put in reverse and still no go. I can hear a soft clicking around the accelerator only. I assume there is some type of switch there.

When it does go, I hear a louder clicking under the seat. I hear this louder clicking when accelerator is pressed and when accelerator is depressed another click. I assume this is the solenoid?

Is the accelerator switch bad or the solenoid? How do I test each of them separately?

    Thanks for any answers.

lift up rear wheels so tires will only spin

put a volt meter on the 2 thin wires going to the solonoid and test for 48 volts when the accelerator is pressed......

if this shows voltage ....not place you negative on meter to last negative terminal on the batteries...the positative to each side of heavy wires on solonoid...you should have 48volts on one side all the time and only 48 on the other heavy terminal when the pedal is pressed...

    any above failure replace solonoid
