the 1999 club car that I am about to buy is said to have 48 volts, but the batteries look like they are 6 volt to me. how can i tell the difference between an 8 volt and 6 volt battery?

8 volt batteries will have 4 water fill holes and 6 volt will have 3 fill holes.................................

Always multiply the number of filler holes by 2 and that will tell you the voltage of each battery. Multiply that number by the amount of batteries and that will tell you the voltage of you electric golf cart.Comment
