  • What Is an engine governor?

An engine governor is a physical device that is placed on gas engines to regulate the rotation speed. It is used on engines to prevent damage. In most cases on golf carts, the governor can be adjusted allowing you to gain rotation speed, making your golf cart faster. On the other hand, electric powered golf carts do not use governors.
