  • Is It Safe to crank over an engine for over 2 minutes?

No! If your engine does not start within 2 minutes under normal circumstances, your engine may be flooded with gas or there is a problem. If you are ever in this situation, there is a serious danger of overheating the starter. Your starter can then break or even catch fire.

    Things to look for:
    • Electrical Problem (I.E. Spark)
    • Not Getting Gas
    • Bad Compression
    • Valve Adjustment
    • Dirty Air/Gas Filter
Starters can retail at over $200.00. Running simple diagnostics can save you a bundle of money in the future.
    Regards
