PDS and DCS came out on EZGO golf carts made after 1994.5 (post EZGO Marathon). The first way you can tell if your EZGO is a PDS or DCS is if you have a run/tow switch under the seat.
If the EZGO has a run/tow switch and the forward/reverse switch on the dash it is a PDS.
If the EZGO has a run/tow switch and the forward/reverse switch as a handle below the seat it is a DCS (Drive Control System).
If the EZGO does not have a run/tow switch it is not a PDS or DCS cart.
Both PDS and DCS EZGO models have a Shunt wound motor, while non PDS or DCS EZGO models have a Series wound motor.</O
