Gas or Electric

Hey all - I'm doing my research.
Thought on gas vs electric?
Is there a certain age NOT to go gas?
Is there a year NOT to go electric?
I'm sure tech has gotten better for both styles.

Tech has only gotten more complicated for both I personally wouldn't get anything newer than 2010 if you must get newer electric might be the way to go but they keep adding stupid sensors and **** so there is more to break
