This is probably going to start an argument but here goes. I've been getting good run time out of my 04 trojan 6V batteries until last week. I think one or maybe two of my batteries have bad or weak cells. My "buggies unlimited" electronic charger will not get above 70% and my runtime is about half what it was. After a load test I'm sure I am going to find a couple of batteries are done. HERE IS THE QUESTION. I know it's best to change in sets but if I have a couple of batteries that are damaged and the rest of the bank are good for their age, can I just replace the bad ones? (I tried the charger on another cart and it worked fine)

Hey Deen, you can replace just the bad ones, but it is not recommended to mix new with old since this can actually sometimes kill the others or bring down the new ones since the old ones die faster.
My suggestion... they are 5 years old and had a very great and long life. Give your cart a treat and upgrade all of em.
Hope this helps.Regards
