just wont to say Hello---new to this site looks like alot of good info---
coould anybody tell me if i could replace the wet cell battries with gel batteries with out any kind of power loss

Gel batteries have different charge requirements then wet batteries, using your standard charger may be too much for them. To answer your question, yes a bit less power and a shorter run time.
