  • New motor/speed

I recently had an upgraded motor installed in my 2012 Yamaha golf cart (equipped with lights and turn signals and horn) and was wondering what type of top speed I should be able to obtain. Right now it is doing about 22-23 mph on flat surfaces (completely unloaded and with just me in it) and 17-18 going up a slight incline. Does this sound correct? *I was told it would go faster and am a little disappointed with such a small increase over the factory motor. I questioned the installer they said there would be a 30 day break-in period after which it should do 25-28 mph (I also have 12" tires). Does this sound right? *Is there any way to get it up to that speed if not or should it obtain that speed right away (is there a possible problem)? *Any advice/support would be greatly appreciated.*

Here is what is on the motor:

    M11-2541
    Advanced DC
    DE2-4007-LR3.7Z1"
    High speed "the drive"

Have them put that in writing then you can wait 30 days. Check your battery voltage And all connections. Check the voltage under load also
